Friday - "Motivation"

"I think we need to look at our motivations, and what keeps us moving. You can break them down into internal and external motivators. External motivators are from anything within your environment - social influence, physical influence (an inspiring setting), or even musical influence (getting into it due to a certain song). Internal motivators are the only ones that truly matter, becuase they come from within and are what keep you moving.
When you're sucking hard, that's when you see what your motivators truly are. Are you working hard for the sake of your reputation? For your appearance? For recognition? If the only thing that pushes you is some exterior influence then you will eventually satiate that drive, and then your performance will equally disappear. On the other hand, if you isolate yourself in your efforts, if you remove any motivating factor from what you do, then what pushes you forward isn't anything other than yourself. Instead of being a product of your environment, you are a product of You."
